The complete transformation of this house against Signal Hill was extraordinary, responding to the client’s brief of a contemporary farmhouse in the middle of the city, with a wrap-around stoep. The living areas on the entrance level were opened up and the existing narrow stoep extended and roofed to be able to enjoy the expansive harbour and city views from all spaces. The materials palette contrasts raw concrete and brickwork with refined moulded ceiling panels, sleek cabinetry, brought together by the client’s varied and eclectic range of furniture and décor.
